Not doing physics A Level for Computer Science

I'm applying for CS but don't do physics A Level, and idk if that will place me at a disadvantage. I have 5 A* predicteds in my other subjects which include Further Maths and CS (most recommended for CS applicants), but considering I'm not applying to any backups I'm worried the fact I don't do physics will have an impact. Anyone know anything abt this?

Hey @abdz2

If you have an idea of where you would want to go for University, have a look at their grade requirements and subject preferences online on their websites. Usually they would mention what A-Level's or subjects they like applicants to have achieved before, and again this may be subjective to each University. Some Universities may even be open to applicants having BTEC's for example, and although they aren't the same as A-Level's there are chances for all applicants to come onto the course. Good luck with whatever you decide 🙂

Don't worry about not having physics, it shouldn't negatively affect your application as it is not a required subject anywhere (in fact, neither is CS a level). Maths and Further maths are the only subjects that would improve your application, so you are a strong candidate by having A* predicted in both.
