LLC interdisciplinary science foundation year to progress onto dentistry

Hi,

I am going to apply to the interdisciplinary course in university of leeds to progress onto a dentistry course, does anyone know the statistics of the number of students that are on the dentistry course through the foundation year. Is it worth applying too as ppl have said theres a ahigh drop out rate and ppl barely progress onto their chosen route

No idea on the statistics, but people have progressed on to dentistry courses in recent times.

You mentioned a high drop out rate - if people don't/can't put the required effort in then they won't progress.

The course is not a walk in the park. It may be the best chance you have to get in to UoL and I seriously advise you to do it.

Yes for dental surgery it’s been so difficult to find anyone because it’s such a small course🙈

Have you looked into booking your accom yet? I've done Henry Price (apparently it's quite close to the LLC) (sorry still me just forgot to make this anonymous and can't change it 😅)

I did the interdisciplinary science with foundation year and due to external troubles I am doing a repeat this year, so I will likely see you there.
There was 1 person that I know of progressing on to dentistry while I was there.

The drop out rate wasn't that bad but the work is hard if you have not done A-levels before like me.
