KCL LLB Politics, Philosophy and Law applicants (2025 entry)

Hi guys, I haven't seen a thread for PPL applicants this year. Though that I would make one since there is not many of us! Let's discuss applications and talk about the course!

What prompted you to apply to PPL? What are your stats/grades?

i’ve applied with A*AA (pysch, philosophy and english lang&lit) predicted and 988888775 in GCSES. i’ve always had an interest in all three of these subjects and want to go into politics after pursuing law so this seemed perfect
have u received a reply yet?

Hey! Not sure why your reply didn't ping me, but yeah I've applied to PPL, still heard nothing - sounds like no one has yet. I'm predicted A*AA home and non-contextual and my GCSEs were mostly 8s (few 7s, one 9). I don't think my LNAT went particularly well, defo not the essay but the MCQ wasn't too bad - even though I never got anywhere near what I seem to need for KCL in practice. So yeah! I hope we can keep each other updated on what's going on, seems like people aren't really organised in 1 place and seen as they seem to give updates much later it'd be good to know, especially as we have no reassurance as no rejections have gone out either (unlike for LLB)!

Hello I also applied for PPL! But I'm an international applicant doing the IB
Just wondering how you can see that your application has been viewed by KCL?

You should have a login (at least I do) to KCL Apply, it's a portal for applicants and on there on the list of your active application(s) there's a column named 'last submitted or changed'

Sounds like me and you are on the same boat, same stats and feelings about the LNAT. I believe King's doesn't look at the LNAT essay except for borderline applicants so take some reassurance in that. Good news is I just got an offer from Warwick for PPL but still waiting on Kings. Says application was last reviewed on the 7th of Jan😬 so flippin scary😭

Hey! Don’t worry - it’s good to hear back from people who have also applied! They haven’t viewed my application in a while so I assume that they will start doing rejections and / or offers post equal consideration deadline !

Same here, could I ask if everyone’s application was also last reviewed in November? It doesn’t seem to be the case for the straight Law course (who have very recent last reviewed dates) but haven’t yet seen any PPL applicants with recently reviewed applications…edit: nvm I just saw that ppl applicants have more recent last reviewed dates

Hey! Does anyone know if the lnat matter less for PPL than it does for straight law? I’ve been told by UCL admissions that the lnat matters less for law and French than for straight law so it might be the case that it’s the same for KCL

for PPL and straight Law in past years they have required an LNAT score of 30+ for home students.
