Need advice for getting into accounting without qualifications/experience

I am a former student of a Russell Group uni, I got a 2:1 in BSc Economics, with no accounting modules. Since I've graduated I've realised I want to go into Accounting, but I'm having trouble getting interviews for anything. All graduate accountant positions that will train you from scratch are insanely competitive and all accounts assistant roles seem to require experience of accounts which I don't have.

Has anyone been in this scenario or has any advice?

Many thanks
Firstly - which schemes have you applied to and how far through the processes did you get?

Also - what are your a level grades and gcse grades for maths and English?

2 things i suggest you.
Online Courses: Platforms like Coursera, edX, or Udemy offer specialized accounting courses that can bridge the knowledge gap. Consider courses in financial accounting, management accounting, and taxation.
Internships: Look for internships in accounting firms or businesses to gain hands-on experience and build your network.
