Pain of estrangement

How can I deal with the pain of estrangement. I have PTSD from it and it’s irreconcilable. Before anyone says anything it was a really bad situation. It is not healthy or safe for me to go back . So I am only looking for helpful suggestions of dealing with just feeling lonely, accepting the additional challenges of not having emotional/financial support or taking longer to reach societal milestones

Hi There

We hear that you are feeling pain following an estrangement from a person or a group of people. It sounds like the relationship(s) that you have previously had were no longer healthy or safe for you to be in. We think that this is a really great reflection from you but we understand that although you recognise this you are still experiencing emotional pain right now 🫶

You are really worthy of a safe space where you can navigate these feelings. We are wondering if you have ever used a Counselling or Talking Therapies service. You can access Talking Therapies through the NHS which can provide a safe space to talk through how you are feeling right now. We also empower you to take a look at the Hub of Hope which lists what support is available in your local area📍

You have done really well to use this space to be honest about how you are feeling. If you are feeling like suicide is an option right now then you can call Hopeline247 on 0800 068 4141 or Text us on 88247 to speak with a trained Suicide Prevention Adviser who will be more than happy to help 💟
