How on earth do i choose an oxbridge college?

What factors do i take into account ?
Do I just choose based off how they look? Their history? I’m not sure.

If you really can't decide, you can always make an open college application, and the university will choose for you. However, factors I would consider are the course you chose, social environment (clubs, etc.), proximity to departments, facilities (Kitchens to cook in, music practice rooms, etc.), and living conditions.

First find out which college offers your course. Then as above look at factors like location, age and architecture, number of undergrads, whether they offer accom for all years of your course, kitchen facilities, sports clubs if this is of interest. Ideally, you would want to visit 3 or 4 for comparison. However, your college choice on the UCAS form is only a preference. The application process can shuffle people around between colleges, and any offer of a place may come from a different one.

First choose whether you want to study at Oxford or Cambridge, then you select Queens College.

Yes, but Queens' College, or The Queen's College?

To me, it does not matter. Both are excellent institutions.

From my daughter's Oxford Freshers social media feed:-

"I made an open application and wondered which of those castles I'd be living in. Then I ended up in this car park."

This is harsh. I love Catz.
