- I did the UCAT to apply to Medicine this year and got a low UCAT 2490 band 3
- GCSE I got D*299888888
- A-level I'm predicted AAA
I have three options
- apply this year to low UCAT unis (what unis would you suggest with this score- Cardiff, Keele, B+S...?), then take a gap year and redo if necessary
- apply to only 3 med schools and 2 Optom schools
- do optom

Well done on your achievements so far!

Unfortunately as I am neither an optometry or medicine student, I'm unable to give much helpful advice! However, we do have both optom and med students on a platform called Unibuddy. Perhaps you could contact them, as they would be able to give more informed advice :smile:

Hi. I was wondering out of interest what you decided? Did you apply for medicine at all or optometry or both? If medicine where did you apply? Did you go Keele or Cardiff as I know of people getting interview offers currently? Would love to hear how you get on.
