Is it necessary to book a move in date for Durham University?

I was aware there was a booking form on Eventbrite for John Snow college in Durham University for selecting a time slot to move in, but as I had other plans that day with family up until today I wasn’t sure what time slot I needed. Problem is, all the slots had run out for the day we were planning on moving in. We are coming from West Sussex and I don’t have any time to move in the next day where there are available slots. Any Durham students, am I totally screwed or is the booking slot thing negotiable? I really didn’t know they could run out like that! Thank you

I remember emailing them stating when I was going to turn up. As far as I am aware, it is not rigid.

Thanks for your input. kind of terrified about it because although I don’t think it’s that deep if I told my parents I messed up with the booking they’d freak out. Hopefully my college is cool with it as I’ve emailed them too.
