Guys help

Hi. I’m in year 11 and in November I will have mock exams (my school call them college entry exams)but I just want to study for maths and science mock exams not another lessons. And that’s because I want to give grade 5 to move up to higher for maths and science .
Do you have any advice.
For science Id recommend Cognito because they have quizzes, lessons with videos as explanation, practice exam questions (not from past papers either cos you’ll need them for the GCSE season so that’s great), flashcards etc so if you don’t already id advise using that. Bitesize is really good for in depth explanations of topics. Also CGP books are great if you dont have them already and prefer paper resources. If you struggle with calculation questions then use Isaac physics to practice them 🙂
For maths, the more practice you can get the better so id suggest making use of the Corbett maths 5-a-day. Cognito as does maths videos, but I didn’t use them personally- i do recommend them but i dont have experience of them! I used Corbett maths videos and also gcse maths tutor- make sure to check them out for topics you’re unsure on.
Hope that helps!

For sciences, id say before doing questions i definitely recommend understanding the content, watch videos, read notes then do some questions. good channels for science would be free science lessons, cognito, your science teacher. if you can, if you finish questions id say do some exam type questions on topics from Physics and maths tutor. If you want a good website where you do active recall ( its rlly helpful) you should use gizmo. it can make notes for you if u give it a google doc or pdf unless you wanna make your own but its really good.

For maths id say also go over your lessons and make sure you understand how to do stuff, get some practice questions, id also say watch some videos of how people explain it. some good yt channels for maths would be Your GCSE maths tutor, corbett maths and 1st class maths. with maths you need to do lots of questions and you will understand how to them. try doing exam questions on dr frost maths or corbett maths. eventually when you feel confident in the topics try doing past papers.
good luck
