Hi :hi:

Although results day may now seem like a distant memory, if you decided to use Clearing we know the process can still feel fresh in your mind.

Whether it opened new doors or added some last-minute stress, your experience is valuable. So that's why we’d love to hear how it went for you! Take a moment to reflect and let us know how you found the process in our poll and share your thoughts below :five:

The practice should be banned in my view. The amount of students who end up with zero or crap accommodation is vast. And they will always be staring at their SFE application that never changes from processing. At the very least it should shut in July to leave some time to prepare.

This is an interesting POV, without Clearing closing, what else do you think could be put in place to ensure these barriers are minimised?

The process should at the very least close earlier, and students should make sure they are 100% certain they have made the correct decision regarding their choices. It is crazy how clearing is still operating at some universities at this very late hour.

I didn't use it, but this year I monitored the process like I was at a Eurovision party or the NFL Draft (I have teenage kids, and I'm also a postgrad student). 'Predicted grades' are misleading a lot of students into not thinking about a plan B and not visiting open days for universities that might be viable clearing destinations. Clutching a bunch of AAB offers, they can be left scrambling if their grades slip. I think many universities do a brilliant job of fielding panicked phone calls, BUT accommodation is a major concern. A clearing offer without accommodation within a certain distance of campus shouldn't be legal.
