i have to submit my initial idea for epq today and 6 sources but idk what to do it on 😭 i want it to be maths related as i want to do it at university but i feel epq is more tailored towards humanity subjects so im really struggling with topic ideas i can write 5000 words on and receive an A* with

any advice would be much appreciated!

(and for reference my further maths option modules are fp1 and fp2 so I can’t do anything on those topics)

I am currently about to submit my EPQ, and it is on Prime numbers, and there uses. I found it was fairly easy to write to the word count. Cyber security is another possible option. What is zero is another thing to consider. You could also take it from a more history point of view, e.g. the life of Euler, or How has our understanding of numbers developed and changed throughout history.

Mine was titles the Purpose of prime numbers, and includes details on factorisation and different factorisation methods, encryption algorithms, different proofs, e.g. Riemann Hypothesis, and Fermats little theorem. Also a few more random things, cicada lifecycles and hunter gear ratios (might want to google these)
