You can be excellent at sciences and maths and do really well in your A’ levels and Gamsat but yet struggle with the UCAS and interview for getting into medical school. For some it’s the opposite they’re naturallly suited to medicine will walk through the interview but might struggle with the science.

The 5 -6 years at medical school in my opinion are probably the easiest. It’s basically learning what you enjoy, about health and disease, physiology, anatomy etc and meeting patients, case studies, practical work which can be an enjoyable part of the learning process. More fun than A level chemistry lol.

The Postgrad Junior doctors years can be very hard. Very very long hours a high level of responsibility while multitasking and probably the hardest most stressful part of the postgrad medical career.

Getting into medical school is the hardest part and I know a fair few people who would tell you the same thing. The remainder is absolutely do-able provided you have the necessary level of motivation and commitment.

Absolutely, post-graduate examinations/qualifications are difficult, but they are supposed to be. I know individuals who have completed both USMLE and some post-graduate qualifications in the UK. The US system is probably harder on balance I would think.

Not sure FY1/2 should feature in your poll considering you have already become a doctor by this point.

I think getting in is the hardest part.
