personal statement for different subjects and different unis

i’m planning on applying for sociology and politics/ir at some unis and just plain international relations at others so how would that pan out on a single personal statement? because if a uni i’m applying to just for IR saw it would they still consider it even tho some of the stuff in there isn’t relevant?? also i know the format will be changed next year, which is when i will apply as im still in 11th grade, and since the questions are more specific, wouldn’t it be a red flag of sorts if unis saw me yapping ab sociology when im only applying to international relations for them?? im a bit worried i may have to just take IR or politics alone because i’ve heard so many horror stories of five rejections from older students at my school and stuff like clearing and extra isn’t really an option for me as im an international student and i really don’t want to risk it

idk if this is helpful in answering but right now my prospective list of applications r edinburgh for socio + politics and ir (separately), glasgow for ir and socio, warwick for politics and is, and birmingham for politics and ir. probably will change a bit depending on what grades i get this year but im quite dead set on getting into edinburgh or glasgow at least but all this personal statement (or rather personal questions by the time i write mine) is sending me into a spiral 😭
This shouldn't be a problem as they are such similar subjects - its only where you are applying for very different subjects that this becomes an issue. Just be careful about how you word it - ie. not 'I want to study Politics because ....' etc.
