oxford application for classics

hi, i am currently in year 12 and working out whether to apply to oxford for classics I. i am studying classical civ, latin, and history at a level as well as a certificate in greek. i know that as i have only just started year 12 it is early to be thinking about but i will have to build up my supercurricular. i got 9998877666 at gcse with the 6s being in science. i only got an 8 in latin but it is currently being remarked so hoping for the 9. is it worth applying to oxford even with my 6s?

I’d always recommend applying! It’s a great experience and at the end of the day, it’s only one of your five options

I also recommend applying! Oxford interviews the majority (>90%) of Classics applicants, so you should get the chance to show your passion for the subject which is more important than your grades in GCSE science tbh.

I’ve just finished a degree in Classics at Oxford -
let me know if you have any other questions
