I'm applying for 2025 entry for a pure econ course - my predicted grades are A*A*AA in Maths, Physics, Economics and AS Further maths respectively. My personal statement according to teachers is excellent, and my GCSE grades are 99999887777 and I have 9-8 in all quantitative subjects. I haven't had the chance to check my teacher reference yet.
Uni choices (subject to change):
UCL - A*AA
KCL - A*AA
Bath - A*AA
Nottingham - A*AA
Manchester - AAA
What are my chances of getting into these unis (especially the top ones?) My school offers the FM alevel but I didn't take it because I thought I wouldn't do that great in the actual exam, however now I realise that this could disadvantage me a lot. Also, I have considered doing the TMUA in jan (so I can apply to LSE) but I'm not sure if thats just a waste of time since I don't have the full FM. I am confident that if I put A LOT of work in I can come out with a great score in the tmua.
