Changing universities to do the same course

Okay so I am just starting my degree at a university but I don’t like the university but I can’t transfer to the university I want to go to anymore so I am thinking about applying to the university through ucas while still being at my university and when I get the offer I will drop out, hopefully my first term. Do you think me being already enrolled at a university will decrease my chances of getting an offer or should I just not mention me being enrolled as I will be using references from my school teachers. Please tell me what should I do I am pretty confident I will get an offer as people with much lower grades then me has been offered a place in that degree in that university.
You have to mention your current study. It’s not optional and UCAS are really clear about it.

Unlikely to affect your chances as it’s very early and not indicative of you struggling on the academic side.
If you stay at your current uni then you will get his with course fees (£9250) and accommodation fees (£9000). If you drop out now, you will get refunds for both from your uni (dropping out in the first few weeks is normal). If you are confident you can defer and get an offer from your preferred uni next year, then do that.

It's great that you're considering your options for transferring! When applying through UCAS, it's important to be honest about your current enrolment at another university. While it may seem tempting not to mention it, transparency is key, as universities appreciate understanding your reasons for wanting to transfer.
Using references from your school teachers is completely acceptable and can strengthen your application, especially if your current university experience hasn’t met your expectations. Your current enrolment shouldn’t significantly impact your chances of receiving an offer, especially if you believe you meet the criteria for the program.
If you receive an offer, communicate with the new university about your situation; they can guide you on the best steps to take regarding your current enrolment. Best of luck!
