Resit A levels? Or study abroad? For vet med.

I just received confirmation from most vet schools in the uk that I would have to resit my a levels in order to be considered for vet med in the uk as an international student. The thing is I want to practice in France (I’m french) or the US but I also consider practicing in the UK. I’ve been accepted to vet schools in Europe such as Hungary and Czech Republic but I’ve never visited the country and they are “less prestigious”. I also do not want to ruin my gap year by having to study again for a levels which I could potentially fail again (got B last time in both chem and bio) but UK seems like a great country to study. I know all of the universities would allow me to practice anywhere in the EU so it’s really matter of where and how I want to spend the next 5 years of my life. Does anyone know what it’s like to study in European vet schools? Is studying in the UK better? Should I try resitting?

As the mother of a French student studying vet med in the UK you should know that not all of the new schools will allow you to work in the EU. Some aren’t even accredited for the UK yet until the first cohort graduates and it requires a bit of time after this to get EU accreditation. If you are an international student the fees will be over £30K per year. Your grades are sufficient to study in Slovakia etc but why don’t you try Valencia. It’s a modern private veterinary and medical university in Spain and significantly cheaper than the UK and will allow you to work in France. The non clinical years are in English or French while you learn Spanish and then clinical placements are in Spanish.
