I'm sure this is well-intentioned, but what usually happens in this forum is that people start their own threads anyway for questions they're struggling with, and then someone (or several people) come on to help :smile:

Statistics-Binomial Distribution

Given 𝜇 = 9 and 𝜎 =

(a) find the values of n and p.

Hi davros, thanks for the reply - I'm well aware of that and there's nothing I can do about that, however I'll post questions anyway seeing as Y12 has just started and there's a chance people would like to practice/ask anything during their academic year.

Differentiation-Power Rule & Tangency


The curve C has equation y = 3x2 - x-1, x > 0

L is tangent to C at the point with x-ordinate 2.
L has equation y = ax + b where a and b are rational numbers.

Find the coordinate of the point where L crosses the y-axis.

(Note that ordinate refers to a single x/y value in a coordinate and coordinate refers to a position - in this case in the cartesian x-y plane.)
