When to apply for TC as a non-law student

I can see there are applications for training contracts starting in 2026 which I can apply for now. But as a non-law student in my third and final year am I too early to apply? This is because I would be starting a conversion course in 2025 and then would need to complete the SQE 1 + 2 in 2026. Therefore, should i wait and apply for training contracts that start in 2027? I ask because all of my research says I should apply in my final year, but this timeline does not seem to line up? Many thanks

Think it through: Those studying for law degrees apply in year X. You apply in year X plus 1, because you have an additional year of study to complete before moving towards a training contract.
