EPQ and A-Level overlapping!
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what I could do about this; I’m taking a level English art and drama and was planning on doing fashion design/textiles for my epq. At the moment I am planning to study fashion design at uni but I wanted to have a strong foundation in art first so if I decide I would prefer to do something arty I can fall back on that. This has led me to the decision to do fashion for my EPQ however I’m worried about the two topics over lapping. I was told by my school that because the subjects are quite similar I would likely face problems with duel qualification. does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do? I am very set on doing art alevel and Fashion design EPQ 🙏❤️
It would be good to talk to the EPQ coordinator or Leader at your school to see if they think this will cause issues, however if you ensure that the fashion you cover within the EPQ is not the same as the final project you do in art, I don't think they could find much issue with it. Be sure to check though

I was also worried about my EPQ overlapping so I emailed the subject teacher that I thought it would overlap with and explained my idea for my EPQ and asked them whether they believed that it would be dual accreditation according to the A-Level spec. He just emailed me back and told me that it would not overlap so it would be fine! Hope this helps!
