UCAS help

I want to do Spanish with International Relations, some unis don’t offer that, how can I say on UCAS that I want to do both. Some uni do both courses but not together, or am I just thick.

You're not applying for both courses. You're applying for a single course called "Spanish with International Relations". Universities which offer this course will assign it a unique code which defines this course. For example, University of Birmingham refer to their BA (Hons) International Relations with Spanish course as L2R4. This is a single code which refers to that single course at that university. University of Westminster offers a similar course, BA (Hons) Spanish and International Relations, which they have assigned it the code LR24.

For those universities which "do both courses but not together" you cannot apply for a combined Spanish with International Relations course because one does not exist. You can apply for their Spanish course or their International Relations course.

Good advice above.

Just remember that any joint subject course means you will do less IR than someone doing the single subject degree - this can be frustrating if timetable clashes mean you cannot take specific units. You may find that just doing IR-with-study-abroad is actually a better option - you get a year of Spanish overseas, and dont miss out on the IR experience. Most Unis offer language classes to students - you dont have to have it as 'part of your degree' to keep that skill current - example University Language Programme | Nottingham Trent University
