How do Italian high school students provide grades for Cambridge application?

I am an Italian high school student with one year left to graduate. I am currently applying to Cambridge through UCAS, but I have a question about how to submit my current Italian high school grades. I would be very grateful if you could answer my question!

Hello fellow Italian!
That’s awesome you’re applying to Cambridge, and I totally get how confusing it can be with different school systems. Here’s how you can submit your Italian high school grades through UCAS:
1. Predicted grades: Since you’re in your final year, your teachers will need to submit predicted grades for your final exams. They’ll estimate the grades they think you’ll achieve at the end of the year based on your performance so far. Cambridge puts a lot of weight on these.
2. Transcript: You’ll need to submit a transcript of your current high school grades (your last few years). This might include your results from "esame di Stato" or other internal exams. It’s a good idea to check with your school to make sure you have an official copy in English, or you might need to get it translated.
3. Reference letter: Your reference from a teacher or tutor can also mention your grades and your academic abilities to give Cambridge more context.
4. SAT/ACT/Other qualifications: If you’re taking any other international exams (like the SAT, ACT, or IELTS), include those as well.
When in doubt, Cambridge’s admissions office is super helpful if you email them directly with specific questions about submitting documents from Italy!

Thank you so much for your reply! I have sent an email to Cambridge University, but the reply I got was to go back to UCAS to find the answer~ This is also what confuses me. When I fill out the online application form, do I need to upload my transcript? Of course, I can't find the upload place. But if there is no data or information about my grades, will it affect my chances of admission?

When you apply through UCAS, you don’t need to upload your transcript directly. Instead, you’ll enter your current qualifications and predicted grades in the application form. Your teacher or counselor will write a reference for you, and in that reference, they’ll include your predicted grades and talk about your academic performance—this acts like your transcript. Cambridge may later ask for more details or documents through their Applicant Portal after you submit your UCAS form. As long as you fill in your qualifications and your teacher includes your grades in the reference, it won’t hurt your chances!
also no problem

Thank you very much for your clear response. I plan to study natural sciences. May I ask where I can submit the teacher's reference letter?

When completing the UCAS application you'll be asked to provide details for your referee. UCAS will contact them on your behalf to request a reference.
