Hi redditors I’m a Canadian student looking to go to the uk for medicine. My ucat didn’t turn out amazing, with 2650 band 1, but hopefully I’ll get an offer somewhere? I’m also applying to three private schools outside of ucas that don’t require ucat. My high school average is 93%, I’m unsure where that would place me on an A-level/Gcse scoring criteria. So far, I really have my heart set on St Andrews A990 because it’s specifically a Canadian program, so a smaller pool of applicants. I also was thinking about applying to Plymouth, Aston, QUB (risky perhaps), and Keele. I have shadowing experience, 50 volunteer hours, and my personal statement is almost done but I know some unis just scrap it. Can anyone help narrow my choices down to 4 unis? Any advice is greatly appreciated
