Student Finance SFE LATE APPLICATION

So because im repeating my 3rd year i found out very late so i applied to sfe and had all my evidence sent off by the 7th of September. It said i should hear back by the 4th of October but now on the 1st of October its changed to the 24th of October. Im about to start paying rent and wanted to know when i would get any sort of money from the maintenance loan. I've heard about them sending you the minimum maintenance loan to get you started and then sending the rest when everything is approved but when would that happen. Any information would be helpful. Im going to give them a call tomorrow when i wake up so hopefully it'll be sorted.

I believe that somebody responded to your query with a useful link which should hopefully be able to provide you with valuable answers. However, I thought it would also be valuable to add to this:

If you are in significant need of finances in order to perhaps help with expenses around rent, it may be valuable to contact your university and ask if they provide any financial emergency loans and support services which you could use.

Have you spoken to the uni finance team? They may be able to sign post you to any bursary or hardship funds that you may be eligible for, I know they have this at YSJ, so your uni may also offer this.

Have you phoned Student finance, they should be able answer any questions you have about your application. I have left the details for them below
