Hi there, wow congrats on those excellent grades! I'm in my second year of studying at Sheffield and I love it, it's got a great mix of green spaces and city, which is personally my favourite part about the location.

The grades for Medicine at the University of Sheffield is AAA. I lived with a medical student last year and she loved it, and met some great people in her first year. If you'd like to peruse the modules here's a link.

If you'd like to know a little more our next open day is on October 19th. And if you've got anymore questions let me know!

Well you have four places so maybe all 4?
There are 350 new medical school places across England this year but not evenly spread
“This includes substantial increases to medical schools at universities in Sunderland, Leeds, East Anglia, Anglia Ruskin, Plymouth and Surrey. The University of Surrey is also receiving government-funded places for the first time.”

It sounds like you have a solid plan with four applications! Each of these universities offers unique opportunities, so applying to all four could be beneficial.

When considering your choices, think about the specific strengths of each program and how they align with your career goals. It might also be worth looking into open days too. We've got one coming up on Saturday 26 October: https://www.uea.ac.uk/visit/uni-open-days

Best of luck,
Daniel

Hey,
It sounds like you have picked some great options, and you have a strong academic backing too.
You have a good UCAT score, so it would definitely be worth prioritising Universities that prioritise UCAT scores in their selection process - Sheffield is a good option for this, but there are also lots of other medical schools that do as well.
In terms of the university itself, I can only speak for Sheffield, as it is the only place I have been to. But I would say it is an incredible University, it has been voted to have the best SU so many years running. There are loads of different clubs and societies to join, including over 40 medical societies - in sports, volunteering, academic, teaching, special interest etc.. Would highly recommend it as a place to study.
Although, I would say for medicine, all the Universities with medical schools will be pretty great. And wherever you end up you will most likely learn to love. So when applying I'd mainly focus on where you are more likely to get a place.
Good luck with the application process, feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.

Hey, not sure if too late but Leeds, Sheffield, and Liverpool all have the same level of prestige overall with Manchester coming marginally higher (not enough to worry about).

So, you can't really go wrong with any of them!
