Dropping an alevel

When I started this year, I started with four alevels, I took English literature, biology, physics and art, but I dropped biology because I don’t have a career in mind and found it boring, but now I’m thinking about switching physics for RS. But I don’t know what to do. I want to switch physics because I’m finding it hard and maths isn’t my top subject to start with. What should I do ?

I'd say if you're struggling with physics and can't really picture a career where you'd need to use it, switch the subject. To be honest, if you were to continue with a subject you found hard it wouldn't be enjoyable for two years (take it from me, im in year 13 taking chemistry and i've HATED it). English lit, RS, and art are pretty similar subjects, so unis wouldn't have problems if that's where you want to go further down the line. Hopefully this helped!

Hi there,
I completely agree with @kkyra, do something you love then you will end up doing a career you love. In school I thought I wanted to be a teacher so kept trying to make myself love maths AND I JUST DIDNT! When looking into alternatives I found a speech and language therapist was far more in line with the learning I enjoyed AND didn’t include the need to do A level maths  . I’m currently at uni at Manchester metropolitan and loving it 🙂
Best wishes,
Emily
