Choosing a University.

What is the best university in your opinion and why? Looking for reviews before I choose 🙂
This varies so much between subjects and also depends heavily on what a person is looking for from a Uni.

I get that but there must be some sort of opinion on general things like the area, social life/things to do, teaching/academics, accommodation, and just whether or not the atmosphere is good.
If not here, can you recommend where I can see something like this?
Decide on what type of vibe you would like. City? Town? Rural? a separate campus site? Is there a part of the country you would prefer?
You can start filtering by some of these on this site: https://www.theuniguide.co.uk/search/course?utf8=%E2%9C%93&c%5Bacademic_years%5D=2025

I would also recommend going to open days to see what some of these places feel like. Once you have ideas on what you want, then you can ask more specific questions about different universities you are interested in
If you think about this, its a silly question.

Different Unis specialise in different subjects, offer different style courses, and ask for different entry grades.
The question you should be asking is , which is the best Uni for me.

Hi @EllieB1215

Kingston!!! Of course I am a little biased, but I do really enjoy studying here, the course and the location are great.

However a great way to find a university that suits what you are looking for is Unifrog - The universal destinations platform. I used this when I was looking for the best university for me and then once I had narrowed it down I went to open days to really get a feel for the university.

So I would recommend doing some research first and then attending open days if you can. Would love to hear what you are interested in studying?

Hope this is helpful

Sorry 😕 I was just looking for general opinions - like accommodation, the location (night life, safety, things to do), quality of teaching, etc. I’m new to all of this so didn’t want to apply somewhere and regret it later if I found out it had a bad reputation or something.

Go to Open Days, look around, listen to subject presentations, ask questions, and talk to current students.
You will soon get an idea of the sort of Uni that is right for you.
