I’m doing A level Psychology,History and English literature.
I’m also doing an epq (mandatory by school)
And an re course (but I don’t think there’s an exam or anything it’s just a few lessons every couple of weeks)
I got a 4 in GCSE maths. (9 marks off a 5)
For universities I’m looking into doing Psychology/social work/teaching/journalism as potential careers.
I have the opportunity to do core maths AS level for one year. Apparently it will go really well with psychology.
There is November gcse maths and English resits.
Do you think I should resit gcse maths and drop core maths?
Or just leave my gcse maths and do core maths.
I was really proud of my four to be honest all my other GCSE grades were 7/8/9s apart from math but I’m worried if I do decide to do psychology my four won’t be enough for most universities. My maths teacher told me that my AS level will overshadow it and that Univeristies will be okay with my 4 in maths.
Side note: I also don’t like maths really and I didn’t have a teacher meaning I struggled to get that 4, there’s a little less then a month for the math resits
So should I do core maths or resit gcse maths?
