give me some reasons NOT to go to reading festival

im in y11. in my friend group only 1 person wants to go to reading, me and 3 others do not wanna go. us 4, dont rlly like the vibes, we dont wanna camp and yeah we r not rlly into "getting with" random boys and stuff. thats probably just stereotypes of reading, but yeah we (except 1) all DONT wanna go. instead we wanna go somehwere else in the uk for a couple days at an airbnb or smth. anyway a lot of ppl are asking why we dont wanna go, and we just reply "eh its not rlly our thing", but does anyone have any more *a bit more valid* reasons not to go lol. other than the price, and the inevitable bad weather, and we dislike camping (yes i know this sounds posh, but we dont like camping lmao. if im gonna camp id rather it be in a nice location like a national park, not some field)

Why does it matter what other people think? If you don't want to go to Reading, you don't want to go.

At 16yo you won't be able to book Airbnb; the minimum age is 18. It varies for hotels and b&bs, so you'd have to check websites, but again a lot are 18yo.

If you want to stay in a National Park you'd need permission from the landowner for private land or see if you are accepted at a campsite.
Larger festivals can be very intense places and not everyone's thing, no shame in saying it's just not for you, esp for the crazy costs now involved.

I like some festivals and I've had good experiences but IME the bigger the festival and the more money involved the more soulless and cold it all feels, I've never fancied Reading myself. Anytime I see a festival where the tickets go on sale a year before and sell out before a lineup is even announced I'm suss about what the crowd will be like 😒
