Lloyds Banking Group Graduate Schemes 2025 - Data Science and Analytics

Hey everyone! Seen a couple of threads floating about for other schemes, but no central thread yet or one specifically for DS & Analytics.

I submitted my application a couple of weeks ago, and completed the online assessment two days a go. Wanted to provide a space for discussion/reflection.

I think mine generally went well but I didn't manage to get a solution to the SQL problem - wondered if anyone knows whether this rules me out?

I've applied as well but have little to no coding experience 😓. Still going to try my best on the other sections but know i will 100% flop the coding bit. They said in the advert that coding experience would be beneficial but I didn't think it would be a necessity. I thought they'd teach it in the BootCamp. I guess there's no chance for me lol. Best of luck tho!

You’re absolutely right that the JD says python/SQL are beneficial but doesn’t mention necessity. I think there’s a big emphasis on values and ways of working so you should still give it your best shot! I’m also still waiting on the feedback report mentioned on the Application Process page, so hopefully that will give us some more insight. Good luck with your assessment!

Hey! I hope the assessment went well for you. I’m looking to take it today. What was the layout of the assessment like? I’d appreciate any tips, thanks!

Hi! So technical was 3 tasks on Codility, the first was a SQL problem, the second a Python problem, and the last a multiple choice quiz on Data Science topics & theory. I did the SQL problem last as I only have a couple of weeks worth of experience (cramming the basics) and only managed a partial solution. I reckon if you have decent python and SQL knowledge you should be fine! Section 2 was sliding scale questions on how you like to work, and I can't fully remember the final two sections but one was more work-scenario based, and last segment was just video interview Q's. Good luck!

Hey! Thank you so much for getting back to me. That is so helpful. How long did it take you overall to complete because that sounds pretty tough?

No problem! It wasn’t too bad, but I’d recommend taking a break between the technical test (which was 115 mins and timed) and the rest (which took me another hour or so and is untimed).

I am in a similar boat, did my best in the coding part I have a bit of knowledge but mostly self taught as I am a career changer, so this wasn't great. I am hoping if I have done well on the other parts they might give me a chance, but that might be a naive viewpoint. I guess it all depends on what they value more, which we won't know. I've done my assessments and just waiting now ☺️ good luck to you.

I hope you get in! Were the last two sections video responses?

The second to last section was a mix, and the last was fully video responses if I remember correctly!

Do any of you know how many questions the Data Science multiple choice has?

Did anyone get their feedback report for this yet? I did my assessment 8 days ago but haven't received anything.

I also struggled with the SQL and assumed there wouldn't be a question with it since it says desirable. I thought they would all be tasks where we could choose our language. The Python task and multiple choice were both fine for me, and the video questions didn't seem too harsh. It just took ages!

Hi, I did mine on the 2nd and just got an email saying they will be in touch about the results. But it looks like, from glassdoor reviews, that they don't get back to you until the application date closes on the 14th.

Nevermind, it's 14. The Python question was pretty easy. The SQL was ok, but if you are a beginner it'll be pretty difficult

I finished mine on the 4th October and haven't heard anything, I am guessing they are waiting until the closing date.

Each location has a different deadline. So worth checking.
