If you used Clearing in 2024, how did you find it?

New teacher my class loves gives me weird vibes.

This week my grade 9 English class got a new teacher. On his first day he kept telling us about how much he dislikes parents, he even pulled government documents and told us this is what he would show our parents if they have any questions. He also continuously talked about his past students and how he would tease them in public, he even shared a story about a time he commented on a students body when seeing them at the gym. He talked about the time he took his classes off school property without the principal knowing during covid, and got away with it. He would tell us about all the fist fights there have been in his classes. But the thing that really of put me is how much he used the word argumentation, and somehow made English sound like it is solely a class that teaches you how to out smart your friends and win every argument. He also refuses to accept emails and will only talk to us on our own time in person, even if its as small as asking for an extension. He also made it very clear that he at no point in time would like to talk to our parents.

Am I crazy? Is this normal?
