Do I have a chance of studying at King’s College London?

I am predicted ABB in maths, business and computer science respectively and I want to apply to Kcl for Electronic Engineering which require AAA.

Also, via the Kcl website I may be eligible for a contextual offer which would be AAB but even then I am one grade short.

I understand how competitive these courses are and would appreciate absolutely any guidance. My other 4 ucas choices are ABB or below.

Also how reliable is the kcl eligibility checker?

Having one "aspirational" choice amongst your five is perfectly reasonable. You just have to accept that your chances of an offer are low, but they are not zero.

The best way to guarantee that you don't get an offer is to not apply. So apply.

Thank you, that’s really great to hear. On another post someone said I had 0 chance of getting in and that it was a waste of time applying!

Also, do you know if there is anything I can do to improve my application. Is there anything Kcl really like to see?

The data would suggest otherwise. You can see here on UCAS (and below), that between 2019 and 2023 for Electronic Engineering BEng (Hons) at KCL, 64% of those who achieved ABB grades were accepted. What we don't know is what they were predicted to get. It's likely that they were predicted AAA, which is why they received offers, and King's were able to show a little flexibility on results day. We can also see that 3 in 4 applicants received offers. So you certainly don't have "0 chance of getting in". As I wrote above, you chances are low, but not zero.

I don't know of any anything specific which KCL is looking for - over and above what all universities are looking for (high grades and evidence of a passion for the subject in your personal statement).

Yes you will likely get in, it’s worth a try applying there. Good luck with your application

If they are wanting AAB in contextual it is very very unlikely that you will be chosen. You might be shortlisted but AAB would be given priority. If there's remaining spaces they will offer you a space.
