Self harm scars - dentistry

Hi so I want to study dentistry 🙏
However I have old self harm scars on one of my arms and I’m scared of people treating me differently or patients not feeling comfortable with me because of it so I’m not sure how to approach this,
I’ve looked into laser scar removal but it’s like £300+ per session and the results aren’t even that good.
Tbh I don’t think I’m even going to get in this year but can someone please give me some advice on this or idk I’m just so stressed about it 😓
I'm a medic and I have worked with multiple healthcare professionals (including senior doctors) with SH scars of varying severity. I have not witnessed them being treated differently by patients or staff - it might happen but it certainly wouldn't be a common occurrence and if you are competent and safe at what you are doing, there's absolutely no reason for them to be anyone else's business.

Good luck and hope you are doing better and have some support in place with your mental health.
