I want to go into medicine and I’ve chosen

Often Unis have a page which shows which A levels they 'reccomend' for each course. Im not too sure about medicine but it probably depends massively on the uni. I know Oxford med asks for maths or furthermaths alongside chem and bio or physics but thats Oxford haha
Entry requirements for each Medical School :
Entry requirements | Medical Schools Council (medschools.ac.uk)

Where a Uni only specifies two A level subjects, the third subject can be literally any other subject - all they are interested in is the grade.

i emailed imperial and asked about subject choices for med (as im doing bio chem rs) and they told me that it was okay. they dont mind what the third subject is as long as you think you can get good grades in it!! you'll be okay

Depends what you're aiming for. While they will only ever specify biology and chemistry, the most competitive medicine schools might prefer candidates with another science/mathematics subject as well. If you aren't aiming for Oxbridge/imperial/other extremely competitive universities, you'll be fine doing these subjects.

If it doesn't state that they 'prefer' three STEM subjects on the course page, then they don't.

Marketing legislation means that Unis have to be totally upfront and honest about what they want or prefer - there are no secrets or information that only 'special people' know. Be very careful about 'I've heard' or 'my teacher says' - its usually out-of-date rubbish.
