Integrated engineering at Cardiff University (undergraduate)

Hi, Im into mechatronics engineering and trying to decide if this is a good course for me. Most sites Ive checked give out good ratings for the teaching and course quality of the electrical engineering department but terrible reviews for the mechanical department. Anyone have personal experience with either or both? Thank you
That's really great.

Hi there!

So the university doesn't have an official mechanical department - only engineering detartment that teaches the electrical engineering and the mechanical engineering course - is this perhaps what you're referring to?

My suggestion is to have a look at the ratings for your course rather than your school! Often, despite being in the same school/department, courses are taught very differently. I recommend websites such as Discover Uni, which shows a lot of useful statistics like how students rate the course and lecturers. However, I do know that the uni's engineering department is quite good. They're based close to the city center, and is quite a large dept!

If its any reassurance though, I've found staff at the university very receptive to feedback  Whilst I am in another department, staff has taken on feedback students have given them and applied it for the next year!

Let me know if I can help you with anything else
