Hey 👋 has anyone received any offers yet from Russell groups? I've heard that the earlier you send it, the higher chance you have of getting an offer but is this true?

I applied 2 days ago and got an offer from Southampton yesterday

Oooo I’m waiting on Bristol…
I sent my application off yesterday afternoon and only got an acknowledgement from Edinburgh!

I got offers from Nottingham and Birmingham for law today. I applied last week so I thought it was quite early to give out offers too. It may depend on the course and its popularity, but you may also have just had a stand out application. Congrats on your offer!

Congratulations! Both solid unis for law. What are your stats?

I am considering to apply History at Bristol as well but I got one grade down on my predicted grades. Do you mind to let me know what Bristol offer and what are your predicted grades?

Thank you! I’m predicted A*A*A in politics, philosophy and psychology (respectively) and got 876554 at GCSE (extenuating circumstances), with the 8 being in English language and a 5 in maths. I’m also doing an EPQ but I don’t have a predicted grade for that, as I started it this year.

Oh wow that's actually pretty similar to me. I'm predicted 3 A*s in philosophy, history, Econ. Got 988877776 GCSE. Got a B in EPQ (so annoying as I was 1mark off an A. Will also hope to get an offer from Notts and Birmingham. Will also be applying to LSE, and Warwick. Where else have you applied?

Good luck! That’s unlucky with the EPQ - did you try to get a remark for it? I’ve also applied to Leeds, Bristol and Cambridge (long shot but I like the course and the university so why not). Hoping for at least 4/5 offers and an interview at my Cambridge college.

hi! yes, i've received an offer from glasgow! i can't say if the second statement is true or not; i think it might depend on the school as well as their applicant pool

Hey folks,

Huge congrats to those who have already received offers, lovely to hear some of you are already hearing back! However I'd encourage you to remember that as long as you send in your application before the equal consideration deadline then when you send your application in will not make a difference to an offer or how soon you will receive one.

Your unis admissions teams work really hard each year making sure all applications are assessed fairly and given the attention they deserve, so please don't worry if you haven't yet received your offers. You can receive them at any point between now and around the end of April. Just sit tight, be patient, and please try not to worry! If you have any questions then please don't hesitate to reach out to your admissions teams 🙂

Wishing you all the best of luck!!!
