Animation

In the future I really want to go into animating for tv shows and cartoons but I’m not sure what A levels to take or what good sixth form/ colleges there are. I also don’t know what the best university options for me would be could someone please help

Hi girlie, as I was previously applying for animation I got some tips:
-PLEASE MAKE A PORTFOLIO STARTING NOW ITS SO HEALPFUL.
- It doesn’t really matter what subjects to take really, but I took maths, physics and Computer Science
-try escape studios or UCA

I’m now going to apply for computer science as I DIDNT want to make a rushed portfolio and going to do indie animation while in uni alongside my course for fun

Hi @lovelossa

Your future aspirations sound really exciting :smile:

For Animation drawing skills and digital skills are great to have, so potentially something like Graphic Design or Fine Art.

Kingston has a great course Illustration Animation BA (Hons) and lots of amazing facilities. Once you have started your A-levels I would recommend going to open days to help you make a decision on universities. Alternatively, you could look on the course websites pages or order prospectuses.
