The Bible is too boring

Early this year, I tried to reread the Bible after 10 years of not touching one, but as soon as I started reading, even though it was an annotated one, it got very boring and I stopped shortly not even having completed the Old Testament.

I don’t really like going to church, except for seeing some folks I met before, as well, because it is equally boring to listen to monologues or off-key hymn singing by others.

I wish it wasn’t a big deal but do somehow feel out of touch with my faith.

Is it normal to feel this way?

i mean if you just take the Bible out and try to have a read it will inevitably be quite boring, id say if you want to properly read more and also learn from it, try going through Psalms or Proverbs or finding a daily reading plan online to organise yourself more
i get about it sometimes being boring going to church, maybe if youre not able to go to another one try looking for sermons online? or watching worship videos online as well because there is muuuuuuch more than old hymns that you might enjoy
feeling out of touch with your faith is something i really understand, i get that too some days where i just feel so unmotivated to do anything. but keep going tho! trying to find things online to help you more will certainly be useful I think

Yes, the Bible is a sealed book, like a sealed letter, only meant for God's people, today that is people that have received the Spirit of God, just as Je3sus was anointed.
Until then it is like someone else's mail you are reading.
Do you want your eyes opened to what it is really saying?
