Are schools able to Lock predicted grades?

Hello , so my school pretty much said 15th Oct will be the finally predicted grades . Is this allowed?

If they want to.

Note that schools often act in their own interest, rather than the interest of their pupils.

Schools all have different ways of determining predicted grades - Year 12 grades, Mocks, teacher intuition etc - so they can do whatever they like, and set whatever cut-off dates they like. If you don't like the decision, go and talk to your Head of Sixth or similar.
