The Student Room Group

I need advice on what to do please

I was asked to provide evidence from 2003. ; ( which is extremely difficult to get as more companies and bank only keep information for a few years) . I told the agent that I can’t provide some of the documents for some of the date requested.
He suggested a Home Check which I agreed to ; few minutes later got an email from Student Finance saying my application is not successful then I called back then I was told that Home Check doesn’t confirm physical residency and I was like WHAT !! What more can confirm physically residency if not an home office check.

Hi there,

Home office checks aren't instantly so there is no way you would have got an email the same day or even the next day confirming the out come from this. There has possibly been a crossover.

I would suggest contacting us back so we can check this for you on 0300 100 0607. We're open till 8pm tonight.

Thanks,
Claire

Hi there,

Have you contacted the Home Office directly about this - they should be able to send you a letter confirming the full history of your status going back to 2003.

It may be worth asking them if they're able to send you something like this.

Thanks, Graeme

Sorry to hear that. Once you send the evidence we can look into this for you.
If you need help it may be best speaking to your welfare advisor's at your university for guidance.

Thanks,
Claire

Hello,
I have requested a home office basis check which I have to wait 30 days so I am a bit anxious that I will not be able to enroll this September.
