Is a predicted average of 7.5 enough to be accepted by Tiffin Sixth Form?

I want to study politics, economics, psychology.

My grade average is 7.5, but I heard you need 8.5 to even be considered.
Their website states:
The minimum qualification for entry into the Sixth Form (the entry requirements) is 8 GCSE grades from the qualification list (see Appendix D), with a total grade score of 56. The student must also have a grade 5 or higher in English Language and Mathematics, which may or may not be included in the total grade score of 56.

Which means that your top 8 GCSE scores, you must average 7 or more. If there is a lot of demand, and the process is competitive, then you might not get a place, but you seem to at least meet the minimum requirements to be able to apply.

Hi! I’m a student there! Normally the demand is quite high, so it’s a little close, but I do recommend applying, as you’re definitely in the ball park!

Also bar economics those courses are less in demand, tho I’m unsure how much that matters

the total of 56, which is an average of a 7 in your best 8 is only for internal students, who have been there since y7, for external students applying from elsewhere to the sixth form the minimum requirement is an average of 8.5 in your best 8. However I think that they do accept a few people who are pretty close to the 8.5 average
