No entry except busses

Hi can someone give me some information I drove 6 hours yesterday to Liverpool to watch the football I’ve never been there before and got very confused when in Liverpool one I got overwhelmed and confused by all the lanes and traffic whilst trying to find parking with my sat nav in from a small seaside town and I’m not used to all those lanes and directions I accidentally took the wrong turn and entered a no entry except busses road following another car which I assume was a taxi so I thought it was a road I didn’t realise until it was too late. Can someone tell me what will happen thank you it was right next too QPark Liverpool one.

Depends whether it’s monitored by cameras or not. You might be able to check by looking on google streetview.

If no cameras, nothing will happen. Just pay more attention to signage in the future.

If it’s monitored then you’ll more than likely get a fine in a couple of weeks. Probably circa £60 or something.

as @Admit-One said, if there were cameras, then you would probably get a fine, if not, then nothing will happen.

i think you have to receive the letter with the fine or something in 2weeks? I am not sure though so double check, but I *think* that if you don't get anything in the next two weeks you're probably fine (but as i said, this might be inaccurate).

I have looked on google earth and there is a standard white cctv camera at the entrance will I receive points for this it was a genuine mistake due to me not knowing the area and just following the car trying to find my way?

No you don't get points for it.

As above, it depends if it has cameras and the car in front 'might' have blocked their view of you.

Bus lane in cities are usually policed by cameras and a small fortune is made out of unsuspecting visitors like yourself. I’ve had several myself. Likely you with get a letter with a £70 fine reduced to £35 if you pay promptly. You can try an appeal but I imagine ‘not familiar with the area’ mitigations cut no ice. It’s very annoying but not criminal nor the end of the world.

No points for this. Proving all the more so that it is largely a money making con
