Veterinary medicine without chemistry - gap year?

Hey!!

I'm in year 13, currently applying for universities and sending them off next week. I don't do A level chemistry and based on my circumstances I can only apply to Uclan for vet med (which is okay because I've fallen in love with uclan). The rest of my four choices are for vet nursing.

If I get rejected from Ucan vet med, would it work for me to take a gap year for an accelerated A level chemistry course and reapply again next year depending on the grade I get?

Vet med has always been my dream career, but honestly I don't really know how this stuff works.

Thank you!!!

You can also apply for Nottingham prelim course! My close friend at school didn’t do chem and applied there and got in. It’s 6 years as the extra year is basically a foundation but saves you applying twice x
