Maintenance loan

Hi I’m French and over 25, and I’m about to start and Audio and production course. Unfortunately student finance only allows me 5K for the maintenance grant! Does anyone knows if this number is going to be updated once my documents get verified, or If maybe I didn’t fill something properly on my application form? Because it is extremely low and I know younger people that received way more (between 8k and 10k)?

Was the loan awarded to you based on your parent(s) or partners income? As there isn't a set amount of loan automatically applied. We take into account your age, your living location and if, over 25, your partners earnings. Thanks, Jason

Yes, I wanted to ask if this was a normal process. The fact that we see a certain number on our applications (in my case 4K min - 5K max), then it get updated after documents validation? And if you knew the maximum maintenance loan allowed for a +25 years old, single, in a full time course student with no incomes. (Apart from universal credit)?
