Belfast vs Newcastle

I am thinking of doing an exchange semester in the UK. Which of these cities (Belfast, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow) are good for a semester abroad and student friendly?

All of the cities are great so you cannot go wrong. You mentioned Newcastle and Belfast in your title. Both are super unis and nice cities. In Belfast there is Queens uni or Ulster uni. The former has a great campus and is a good un. Newcastle uni is also good. Given a choice, I would go to Queens.

Belfast - one of the friendliest cities in the UK, student life there is fun and very social, the Queens Uni buildings are beautiful, and the Uni has an excellent academic reputation. And travel to other bits of the UK and Europe is easy - flights and ferries are easy and relatively cheap. Highly recommend,
