yess food 4 life, i've read like more than a half of the women's murder club by James Patterson and other James Patterson books. I really need to start getting back into reading but there's too much workload and tests🥲. Whats ur favourite?

Hey welcome to my yr12 gyg!!
i used to have a yg for gcse's but gave up after a few weeks but I'm back and hope this reaches to the right people. Im currently doing A-level sociology, business studies and Criminology. I have also signed up for the silver DOFE because I really enjoyed the bronze one HELP. Im aiming for A's and at least an A* but mostly A's to get into the university I really want to go!!!!

I very much relate to what you said about not having enough time to read- i do have enrichment where i get to just read at school for an hour and a half each week though which is nice 🙂 What subject are you enjoying the most so far?

I love the patricia cornwell series and the DI Callanach series by Helen Fields is a good one I read recently

HELP i have a basline sociology test tomorrow about functionalist views on education and I am NOT prepared....its currently 7:20 and finally got the "time" to revise (I've been on my phone the whole day). NOT A GREAT START BUT the test was supposed to be last Thursday and I was not prepared for it (surprise) anywho I would take it as a sign from god that I'm meant to get full marks on this test................(got 20/27 on the last one🥲)I

I've got a few hrs to cram in some revision so my to do list it:

•

finish off the functionalist view on education

•

mini mind maps for all 3 theorists

•

recall al the knowledge I can remember on whiteboard

•

dress to imress🤧

P.s. i did 2hrs30 revision yesterday. (business 1.1 topic flashcards because I THINK I have a test on Wednesday bcz I didn't come into sixth form last week 4 the test) saying the word sixth form makes me shiver.....it feels so unusual HELP

AYO WTH i read all that remains by Patricia Cornwell like a year ago HELP it was kinda confusing but I realized after I read the book it was part of a series

If you're struggling with sociology, Tutor2U has good topic videos on the education topic for sociology (and for all the other topics tbf). I find these videos useful because they're fairly short which means you can get down the key information quickly so it's not too long and tiring :o:

Yep it’s so annoying that the books can’t really be read as standalone a bc my school library only had the first half of the books then some random ones from in the middle so I was really confused after that but if u read them in order it’s a really good series

it's been 2 days I haven't updated. Tell me why sixth form is emotionally draining, when I step foot into that building I lose all my energy and become cranky asf HELP besides that, I'm falling really beuind on revision notes UGHHHHH I CANT WITH SOXTH FORM.

To do list:

•

Submit evidence of all my business hw on teams (I have like 10 bcz I didn't know YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO TAKE PICTURES AND UPLOAD IT EVEN THOUGH SHE CHECKS THE LITERAL PAGES EVERY LESSON)

•

finish my 1.1 flashcards

•

revise for my 1.1 test tmrw (was last week but I missed it)
THATS IT

I'm already dreading the test apparently it was really hard (quoted by a girl who got a 9 in business and is currently the cleverest in our class)
Yesterday I did quite literally nothing after school bcz I was SO drained

(sorry for the rants lol)
