Maths/computer/English for software engineer?

I wanna be a software engineer or some work on Cyber security. My back up ideas are accounting or a data analyst. The last option I'm considering is being a solicitor (hence english). The reason why I'm taking English is because most universities are willing to acccept it as a third subject and it's quite fun for me. My only fear is that I want to take an apprenticeship and I'm not sure if employers are going to like English as my third subject.

Overall, I was wondering if English was the wrong subject to take and if it will make me a significantly weaker candidate amongst the competition in tech. Any opinions are welcome because I can still change my mind because the first term of school has not ended yet.
You don't need A-level English (language or lit) to do a law degree, and you can become a solicitor with any degree in any event.

Your subjects are fine. If you were aiming to apply to a degree at e.g. Oxbridge/Imperial/similar then it may be worth considering A-level Further Maths.

Otherwise English is fine, as good as any other third subject in this case. If you enjoy it and think you can do well in it, stick with it
