A walk through forests with colourful leaves is a popular thing in autumn season. Same for the lakes in that country.

Have you considered doing a rail journey? There are trips of different lengths and between various cities.
Vancouver 's definitely worth a visit. Also Victoria & Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. If you want to go further afield then it might be a good idea to try the Greyhound coach service - you can get some good deals for long distance journeys
