It doesn’t necessarily increase your chances, but it helps them put your application into context and consider factors that have made it harder for you to access university. If you receive an offer after interview, you’ll be given the standard offer for medicine as well as a reduced Access to Leeds offer. The Access to Leeds offer is usually 1 to 2 grades lower than the standard offer, but you can check the typical offer on the course information page. Essentially, if you firm Leeds, you’ll be able to get in with lower grades by accepting the Access to Leeds offer. I also applied to Access to Leeds (for law) and received confirmation a few days ago that I am eligible for the scheme.

So I'm applying to access to Leeds. It says you're still eligible if a parent has completed a degree during your secondary education. It doesn't specify what type of delivery. My mum has completed her masters degree this year and I live in a low participation area so I believe I'm eligible. But when I tried to complete the form this was what came up. WHAT DO I DO?! I NEED TO FINISH THIS TODAY!

I would tick that box, since on the website they categorise completion while in secondary education under that category. I also fell under that category (started but not completed) and ticked the yes box. Your referee and parent/carer will also be able to confirm that you are eligible under this criterion.
