Should I retake A level maths?

For Context, I do Further Maths, Economics, EPQ, and French with predicted grades A,A,A, A* respectively with an A achieved in A-Level maths.
I am thinking of applying for Economics and Sustainable Development/International Development at LSE, Durham, Warwick, Bath and KCL.
I qualify for all the entry requirements except for Warwick for which I need an extra A*.

I am thinking of retaking A-Level Maths as my school would predict me an A* which would hopefully make me more competitive, but I am not sure if it would be worth it as none of the courses I want to take require it, bar Warwick of which the extra A* would make me qualify.
Should I apply to Warwick anyway and hope for the best, retake maths, or just apply for a different University? ( probably St Andrews )
You would still need to put the obtained A on your application anyway.
Is Warwick worth the effort of a retake that could distract from your other grades?
LSE, Durham, Warwick, Bath and KCL.

Those are all mega-competitive choices for Econ - and every year, thousands (yes, thousands) of people applying to those Unis, even those who meet or exceed the entry requirements, will be rejected.

I'd suggest that you swap out one of those choices for somewhere 'good for Econ' but less crazy in terms of application pressure. OR, you could leave one choice empty and add this in January when you might have some yes/no decisions from Unis and therefore you could make a more strategic decision about that final choice.

Resitting Maths is not a good idea - you risk messing up all of your grades if you do this. If anything, drop the EPQ or French and put the extra effort into your remaining A levels - these are the grades that matter.
